Program Description:

This program is operated by Hebei Normal University for Nationalities. During the 15 week program, experienced teachers who are specialized in teaching Chinese as second language will teach intensive Chinese language courses to the students. Previews Chinese Language knowledge is not required. Various cultural activities such as lectures on topics of Chinese Culture, Chinese art performance, travel and visit will also be arranged. Students will have chance to talk and communicate directly with Chinese University students. Students will live in the University Hotel in the campus of HBUN, which is located in the University area of Chengde City. Students will be able to immerse in the cultural atmosphere of the local Chinese society.

Program Location:

Hebei Normal University for Nationalities is located in Chengde City, a famous historical and cultural city of China, which is just 100 kilometers northeast of Beijing. Chengde people speak Chinese Mandarin with the most standard pronunciation. Chengde is especially famous for its traditional culture and beautiful scenery. As one of the Class A tourist destination in China, Chengde attracts visitors from home and abroad with the Great Wall, the Summer Mountain Resort-the biggest royal garden in the world and its Eight Outlying Temples which are all within easy access.
